Our history

The 1990’s have held a series of major and profound changes in our beautiful country and legal system. The establishment of the Constitutional Court and rationalization of the other courts in the land impacted significantly on the development of our law and jurisprudence. Such meaningful transformation has committed itself to the empowerment of the people of South Africa, especially the previously disadvantaged communities.

It is against this backdrop that in 1998, Iqbal Mahomed Attorneys (IMA), in recognising the need to respond to social-economic and legal changes, was realised and brought to fruition.

IMA has practiced in Pretoria for almost 25 years and during this period has grown into a formidable practice. Having recently moved to our Centurion offices, it is our goal to service the greater Pretoria community and expand where the opportunity presents. We are strategically positioned to offer Correspondent Attorney services for the Tshwane Magisterial district courts as well as the Gauteng Division Pretoria High Court.
